SHINING LIGHT ON LOCAL GEMS

Yorktown Lights Up the Fourth: A Celebration Where History Lives
Yorktown, Virginia—often called the cradle of U.S. civilization—marked Independence Day 2025 with a vibrant blend of patriotism, tradition, and community spirit. The day began with the town’s beloved Fourth of July Parade at 9:00 AM, as Main and Water Streets came alive with the sound of marching bands, historic reenactors, veterans, and local organizations proudly honoring America’s birth.

Walking with Queens and Pharaohs: Discovering Egypt in Hampton
One of the highlights of my day at the Hampton Egyptian Festival was taking part in the dramatic 'Walk of the Queen.' I portrayed one of her close friends, wearing a crown adorned with the uraeus—the iconic cobra symbol of ancient Egypt. In that moment, I could have been embodying a goddess like Wadjet, the legendary cobra goddess of protection and royalty. It was an unforgettable blend of history, culture, and fun.

Holy Day a Busy Day
No time to retouch makeup or hair style, I headed out to observe Palm Sunday, enjoy Phoebus Anniversary, and the movies.; a lot for just one day that it did not end there because I had 4 beagles at home waiting for me, content to edit, and word to write. Now at my 50s, I am committed to embrace a decade of realignment. I invite you to travel with me through this journey of new perspective and priorities.
