When was the last time you took a bus and found a legislator having conversations with Hampton bus riders? Today, I was surprised to see Delegate A.C. Cordoza, representing Virginia's 86th District, taking a hands-on approach to community engagement by riding alongside residents on Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) buses. The event commenced at 10:30 AM at the Hampton Transit Center, located at 2 W. Pembroke Avenue in the City of Hampton, Virginia, and was open to the public.

During the ride, Delegate Cordoza conversed with constituents about their daily experiences with public transportation, discussing topics such as service reliability, route coverage, and potential improvements. To foster a welcoming atmosphere, attendees were treated to complimentary coffee and donuts, encouraging open dialogue in a relaxed setting.

This initiative reflects Delegate Cordoza's commitment to understanding and addressing the transportation needs of his constituents in Hampton and the surrounding areas.
