Twice a year, the Hampton Roads Convention Center transforms into a lively marketplace filled with creativity, flavor, and community spirit.

One of the highlights of my day at the Hampton Egyptian Festival was taking part in the dramatic 'Walk of the Queen.' I portrayed one of her close friends, wearing a crown adorned with the uraeus—the iconic cobra symbol of ancient Egypt. In that moment, I could have been embodying a goddess like Wadjet, the legendary cobra goddess of protection and royalty. It was an unforgettable blend of history, culture, and fun.

No time to retouch makeup or hair style, I headed out to observe Palm Sunday, enjoy Phoebus Anniversary, and the movies.; a lot for just one day that it did not end there because I had 4 beagles at home waiting for me, content to edit, and word to write.
