NOTARY SONGS PROJECT
PARTICIPATION, VIDEO RELEASE & TERMS OF USE
Effective Date: August 2026
These Participation, Video Release & Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to individuals submitting photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, performances, names, likenesses, voices, logos, or other materials (“Submission”) for participation in the Notary Songs Project.
By submitting a video or other material to the Notary Songs Project, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to the following Terms.
1. Voluntary Participation
Participation in the Notary Songs Project is completely voluntary.
By submitting a video, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement and grant the permissions described in these Terms.
Submission of a video does not guarantee that your video, name, business, logo, image, voice, or performance will appear in the final production.
2. Permission to Use Your Video, Voice and Likeness
By submitting your video, you grant Jbel Marketing & Entertainment LLC (JbelME), Virginia Digital Universe Conference (VADUC), and AliaLoop Films, together with their authorized representatives, contractors, production partners, successors, and assigns, permission to use your Submission.
This permission includes the right to use, reproduce, edit, crop, resize, synchronize, combine, adapt, publish, display, distribute, transmit, exhibit, and otherwise incorporate your:
video, photograph, image, likeness, name, voice, performance, statements, and authorized notary branding
into the Notary Songs Project.
Your Submission may be used in the final music video as well as related promotional, educational, informational, and publicity materials, including websites, social media, video-sharing and streaming platforms, presentations, conferences, advertisements, press materials, and other digital or physical media.
3. Editing and Creative Production
You understand and agree that your Submission may be edited as part of the creative and technical production process.
This may include editing for length, timing, sound, synchronization, orientation, framing, color, visual presentation, or other production purposes.
Your Submission may also be combined with music, lyrics, graphics, animation, photographs, special effects, titles, branding, and recordings or performances from other participants.
JbelME, VADUC, and AliaLoop Films are not required to use an entire Submission and may use only a portion of it.
4. No Guarantee of Inclusion
Submitting a video does not guarantee inclusion in the Notary Songs Project.
JbelME, VADUC, and/or AliaLoop Films may select which videos or portions of videos are appropriate for the final production based on creative, technical, legal, quality, length, or other production considerations.
5. No Compensation or Participant Royalties
Unless a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise, participation in the Notary Songs Project is voluntary and without compensation.
Participants will not receive payment, royalties, residuals, licensing fees, profit participation, or other compensation solely because their Submission, name, likeness, voice, notary branding, or performance appears in the Notary Songs Project or materials promoting or documenting the project.
Participation does not create an employment, partnership, agency, joint venture, or other business relationship between the participant and JbelME, VADUC, or AliaLoop Films.
6. Copyright and Ownership of the Notary Songs
The Notary Songs and their associated creative materials are protected by copyright.
This may include, as applicable, the:
lyrics, musical compositions, arrangements, sound recordings, artwork, graphics, videos, and other original creative materials associated with the Notary Songs Project.
All applicable rights are reserved by their respective copyright owner(s).
Where applicable, musical compositions associated with the project are registered with or represented through the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).
Participation in the Notary Songs Project does not transfer ownership of any song, composition, lyrics, master recording, artwork, trademark, logo, or other intellectual property to a participant.
Participants are granted permission to use the requested portion of a Notary Song solely as necessary to create and submit their authorized participation video for this project.
Unless separately authorized by the applicable rights holder, the Notary Songs may not be independently copied, sold, commercially exploited, redistributed, republished, licensed, or incorporated into another commercial production.
7. Your Notary Brand Is Welcome
Participants are welcome and encouraged to include their own notary business branding in their videos.
This may include a participant's:
-
Notary business name
-
Business logo
-
Professional attire displaying their business name or logo
-
Authorized signs, banners, or promotional materials
-
Website or social-media name
-
Other branding that the participant owns or has permission to use
By including your notary branding in your Submission, you represent that you own the branding or otherwise have sufficient authority to permit its use.
You grant JbelME, VADUC, and AliaLoop Films permission to display your authorized notary branding as part of your Submission in the Notary Songs Project and related promotional and distribution materials.
This permission does not transfer ownership of your notary brand to JbelME, VADUC, or AliaLoop Films.
8. Removal of Unrelated Brands
Participants are expected to make reasonable efforts to remove or avoid unrelated third-party branding from their videos.
Before recording, please check your surroundings and, when reasonably possible, remove, cover, reposition, crop, or avoid prominent third-party:
logos, trademarks, advertisements, product packaging, business signage, branded merchandise, copyrighted artwork, television programming, videos, or other commercial material unrelated to your own notary business or the Notary Songs Project.
For example, participants should avoid intentionally positioning unrelated company logos or advertisements prominently within the recording.
Incidental appearances of ordinary products or background items may occur. However, participants should make reasonable efforts to prevent unrelated brands from becoming a prominent part of their Submission.
9. No Unauthorized Music or Media in the Background
Please make reasonable efforts to ensure that unrelated copyrighted music, television programs, movies, videos, radio broadcasts, or other protected media are not playing in the background while recording.
The Notary Song being used for the authorized Submission is permitted for purposes of participating in this project as described in these Terms.
10. Right to Crop, Blur or Remove Third-Party Content
If unauthorized, inappropriate, distracting, or unrelated branding or other protected material appears in a Submission, JbelME, VADUC, and/or AliaLoop Films may, at their discretion:
crop, blur, obscure, mute, edit, replace, remove, reject, or decline to use the affected portion or the entire Submission.
11. Participant's Responsibility for Submitted Material
By submitting your video, you represent that, to the best of your knowledge, you have the right to provide the Submission and grant the permissions described in these Terms.
You agree not to knowingly submit material that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
If another identifiable person appears prominently in your video, you are responsible for obtaining any permission that may be necessary for that person's appearance and participation.
12. Ownership of Your Original Submission
Except for the rights granted under these Terms, you retain whatever ownership rights you legally possess in the original video or other original material you created.
By submitting that material, however, you grant JbelME, VADUC, and AliaLoop Films a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, synchronize, publish, display, distribute, exhibit, and otherwise use the Submission in connection with the Notary Songs Project and its promotion, publicity, documentation, distribution, exhibition, and related purposes.
This permission is intended to allow the finished production and related promotional materials to continue being distributed after the project has been completed.
13. Publication and Distribution
You understand that once a finished video or promotional material has been published or distributed, copies may exist on websites, social networks, streaming services, search engines, archives, third-party platforms, or other media outside the direct control of JbelME, VADUC, or AliaLoop Films.
Accordingly, removal of previously distributed copies from every third-party platform or location may not always be possible.
14. Release
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you release Jbel Marketing & Entertainment LLC (JbelME), Virginia Digital Universe Conference (VADUC), AliaLoop Films, and their respective authorized officers, directors, employees, volunteers, representatives, contractors, production partners, successors, and assigns from claims arising from the authorized use, editing, reproduction, publication, exhibition, or distribution of your Submission, name, image, likeness, voice, performance, or authorized branding as permitted by these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive any right or claim that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
15. Right to Reject or Remove a Submission
JbelME, VADUC, and AliaLoop Films reserve the right to reject or discontinue use of any Submission that does not meet the project's creative, technical, legal, or content requirements.
Submissions containing inappropriate, offensive, unlawful, infringing, misleading, or unauthorized material may be excluded from the project.
16. Agreement to These Terms
By checking the acceptance box and submitting or uploading your video, you acknowledge that:
You have read these Participation, Video Release & Terms of Use;
You understand the permissions you are granting;
You voluntarily agree to these Terms; and
You authorize JbelME, VADUC, and AliaLoop Films to use your Submission as described above.
